Terms of Use
Using Clarity
Clarity is a reflection and contemplative practice app. By using Clarity, you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with these terms.
Not medical, therapy, or emergency support
Clarity is not medical care, mental health treatment, therapy, diagnosis, crisis support, or emergency support. It does not replace a doctor, therapist, spiritual teacher, or qualified professional.
If you may be in danger or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a trusted person immediately.
Contemplative content
Clarity includes material inspired by contemplative practice and Buddhist psychology. It is offered for reflection and practice support. It is not a substitute for personal judgement, ethical responsibility, or direct guidance from a qualified teacher.
Cloud Tap responses
Cloud Tap responses are generated from the text you choose to send. They may be incomplete, unsuitable, or wrong. You remain responsible for your choices and actions.
Subscriptions and purchases
Clarity may offer auto-renewable subscriptions and one-time support purchases through Apple in-app purchase. Apple handles payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund requests under Apple's App Store terms.
Support purchases help support the app and its work. They are not charitable donations, are not tax-deductible, and do not create a commitment to fund a specific organisation or project.
Availability
Clarity may change, pause, or remove features over time. Cloud services may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, provider outages, network issues, or security limits.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app or services, including by attempting to:
- Bypass payment, entitlement, or rate limits.
- Abuse Cloud Tap or backend services.
- Upload unlawful, harmful, or deliberately malicious content.
- Reverse engineer or interfere with the app's security systems.
Intellectual property
Clarity's app design, original writing, code, artwork, and branding are owned by Clarity or its creator, except where public source texts, third-party materials, or Apple services are clearly identified.
Limitation of liability
Clarity is provided as-is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the app.
